摘要
Recommendations on clinically relevant interprofessional training-concepts are necessary but have been published only sporadically. The joint training of nurses and physicians in intensive care medicine can lead to improved treatment processes, greater patient safety, better care quality of care and greater professional satisfaction for those involved. Interprofessional training standards and methods were defined and formulated as a recommendation for the establishment of interprofessional team training following the example of the procedures and parameters applied to weaning ventilated intensive care patients. By establishing the integrative training programmes for professional groups in- volved in weaning, positive effects in patient care, treatment efficiency and the professional satisfaction of those involved should be achieved. There are numerous professional recommendations for patient-oriented weaning in intensive care medicine and nursing. They are intended to support clinicians from various professions in putting the current state of knowledge into practice. The aim of the interprofessional training concept 'Weaning' proposed here as an example is to synchronise the skills of all team members and thus make optimum use of them, thereby increasing the quality of care in intensive care units.
