摘要
Gender inequality in the labor market affects any territory globally but with different intensities. This study analyzes the gender gap in elite occupations, which men traditionally carry out. Data from the World Economic Forum are analyzed with a panel data model. The conclusions show that COVID-19 has stopped the decreasing trend in the Ibero-American gender gap. Furthermore, there are significant improvement margins in the political and economic dimensions of the labor market, where elite occupations stand out. The new dynamics of the labor market after COVID-19 have been decisive in the worsening of elite professional women in Ibero-America.
