Bridging the Gap: A Study of Disparities and Opportunities for LGBTQ Youth in Foster Care

摘要
This study explores foster Texas Tech University care outcomes among youth by race and gender/sexuality. The findings reveal significant correlations between educational attainment and high school diploma acquisition for LGBTQyouth of color. Discrepancies in employment outcomes suggest systemic barriers for these youth. Additionally, LGBTQ youth of color face high instability and low availability of support networks. Housing stability, physical and mental health, financial capability, social capital, and the impacts of COVID-19 further highlight demographic disparities.
