摘要:
HS is a debilitating disease with a heterogeneous clinical phenotype and natural course. This scoping review has summarized and reported findings from the literature on HS phenotypes and their characteristics. Using HS phenotypes could be a guide to more individualized medicine. By fostering understanding and recognition of HS phenotypes, the groundwork is being laid for tailoring appropriate therapies to patients rather than for using a trial-and-error method of treatment, for intervening in a timely fashion, and for improving health care outcomes, which may particularly benefit persons in marginalized and underserved communities.
