摘要
Fostering consumer choices related to responsible production and energy consumption can significantly reduce greenhouse gases, which can help to limit climate change. Energy literacy training offers a valuable tool to promote responsible production and consumption of energy. This study examines the effect of a digitally delivered self-paced energy literacy training program on knowledge, attitude and behaviour related to responsible energy production and consumption. It adopts a positivist paradigm and within-subject pre-post-study design. Data collected using a self-administered pre-post-study design is analyzed using the Mc-Nemar test and the paired sample t-test. We find that energy literacy training improves environmental awareness and fosters pro-environmental attitudes, beliefs and behavioural intentions. As energy literacy training provides an effective approach towards promoting responsible production and consumption of energy, policymakers should scale up and popularize it to combat climate change.
