摘要
This study draws from literature on ethnic studies and AsianCrit to tell the story of Asian American Voices for Education (AAVEd). A grassroots organization founded by Asian American parents, students, and educators in Georgia, AAVEd seeks to transform social studies curriculum that overlooks Asian American perspectives. The authors employ principles of narrative inquiry to reveal participants' struggles and dreams as minoritized students; and the contentions, challenges, and joy brought by on-the-ground advocacy efforts. The study concludes by emphasizing the transformative potential of grassroots organizing in achieving a humanizing and liberating curriculum for all children.
