摘要
Undergraduate students participated in an experimental study of the synthesis of iron oxide nanoparticles from iron mining tailings and their application for environmental remediation purposes. Iron oxide nanoparticles were used as a catalyst for methylene blue degradation by photo-Fenton oxidation. This experimental activity allowed students to understand the principles of advanced oxidation processes, learn about catalyst preparation and characterization methods, and grasp scientific concepts by analyzing and solving an environmental problem. Additionally, the experiment contributed to strengthening students' experimental skills and problem-solving abilities in a practical and interdisciplinary manner.
