摘要
The Professional Master's Degree in History Teaching (ProfHist & oacute;ria) is on the verge of completing a decade of consolidation. Seven years after the first dissertations were defended, a diverse academic production associated can be seen within its institutional scope, which currently encompasses 39 universities from all regions across Brazil. In this regard, the program is solidifying itself as a privileged space for researching issues inherent to the field of History Teaching, intertwining historiography and teaching. Consequently, this article aims to assess the dissertations produced in ProfHist & oacute;ria, which are available in the program's digital repository, specifically those addressing History Teaching in the Early Years of Elementary School. Our primary objective was to problematize how the field of knowledge in History Teaching, based on ProfHist & oacute;ria, has approached History Teaching in the Early Years, taking into account its role as a curricular component in this segment and within the Brazilian Common National Curriculum Base. The dissertations represent an analytical sample, upon which we made qualitative and quantitative considerations, highlighting the challenges and possibilities ahead for the field of History Teaching in the context of the essential dialogue between Pedagogy and History.
