摘要
Laminated composite materials have been widely utilized across various industries such as mechanical, aerospace, marine, automotive, and others, thanks to their distinct properties. prediction of the failure of the composite laminate structure, mathematical modelling, finite element analysis of composite laminate and load-bearing ability of the laminate have become an important topic of research. The main objective of this work is to study the delamination of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composite due to the damage of impact from foreign objects. The failures were analysed using Abaqus software and compared with experimental test results for validation. The study showed that the experimental and numerical simulation results were a good match, demonstrating the efficiency of the modelling strategy employed in this work. Given that they offer insights into the impact behavior and failure modes of these materials, the results of this study carry considerable implications for the design and optimization of CFRP composite structures.
