摘要
To conclude, MRN is an excellent imaging modality for depicting the anatomy and pathologic condition of the peripheral nerves of the foot and ankle. Optimal imaging technique, including knowledge of the utility of DWI, is essential for MRN interpretation of the various peripheral neuropathies encountered in the foot and ankle. Further technical developments in diffusion-based nerve imaging and nerve-specific contrast agents will likely play a major role in advancing our ability to identify the different nerve pathologic conditions of the foot and ankle.
