摘要
Cervical cancer strikes women all over the globe and is a severe planetary health challenge. The prognostic factors, biological targets, and existing limitations in the treatment of this medical condition are discussed in detail in this review. The fatality and incidence of cervical cancer highlight the pressing necessity for cuttingedge interventions. It is critical to comprehend the complex molecular signaling networks involved in cervical cancer to design personalized treatments. Nano-carriers are being investigated since existing treatment approaches have drawbacks such as systemic adverse effects and drug resistance. The rewards of nanotechnology include decreased adverse effects, enhanced bioavailability, and targeted therapeutic delivery. Nevertheless, bypassing biological barriers and optimizing drug release are complex tasks. The nano-platform presents a compelling chance to acquire multifunctionality and targeting techniques. The detection and treatment of cervical cancer have changed tremendously with the emergence of nanotechnology, particularly with the creation of smart nanomaterials. The present review summarizes various treatment approaches in cervical cancer using smart nanomaterials (such as lipid-based nanomaterials, metallic nanomaterials, dendrimers, polymeric nanoparticles, cubosomes, inorganic nanomaterials, and micelles). The combined application of nanotechnology and cervical cancer therapy has enormous potential for improving individual outcomes. There is the prospects for further individualized and successful treatments as long as advancements in research and development continue. This will inevitably improve the outlook for those confronting this challenging condition.
