摘要
Nursing is a profession that stands out as responsible for the control of hospital infection because, in addition to being able to manage the hospital environment, it is in greater contact with the patient. Infections associated with health care are infections that may be associated or acquired when entering or receiving treatment in a hospital unit, are unforeseen because they are developed in the course of health treatment; They can cause death. This work aims to argue the role of the nursing team in the prevention and control measures of infections associated with health care in cancer patients. A bibliographic review was carried out in the Scielo databases, Biblioteca Virtual em Sa & uacute;de, Pubmed and Academic Google. Due to their health, cancer patients are more likely to contract infections, so prevention and control against infections associated with health care is an important challenge in nursing.
