摘要
Nowadays, young people are heavily active in new media, especially on social media. It is on these platforms that they primarily consume news. These platforms are also a tool for expressing their opinions on current affairs and for political participation. Online media therefore presents great opportunities and advantages, but also new challenges in terms of safe information consumption and the construction of public opinion. This narrative literature review analyses the literature published between 2018 and 2023 on young people's information consumption and political participation in the context of new media. In addition to providing a narrative overview of published research, it also lists existing studies and points out the ramifications of research on this complex subject, as well as possible future investigations and topics of study.
