HERMENEUTICS, PHENOMENOLOGY, AND METAPHYSICS: CONSIDERATIONS ON THE TRIPLE PHILOSOPHICAL FRAMEWORK OF PAUL RICOEUR

In this article we address Ricoeur's theoretical framework, which outlines the philosophical courses of his thought. Traditionally, the community of interpreters of the French philosopher's work deals with its phenomenological roots and its articulation with hermeneutics. Little work has been done on the importance of a metaphysics that, in coherence and correspondence with the postulates of phenomenological hermeneutics, structures the theory and proposes a philosophical view regarding the practical field it deals with. We do not intend to reconstruct the Ricoeurian ontology here but to show the metaphysical anchoring of its hermeneutics.
