摘要
A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network system composed of one to several data collection nodes and a huge number of sensor nodes. The characteristics of the sensor include power saving, small size, and low price. In WSNs, the power of sensor nodes is limited. Therefore, node energy consumption is a key issue in WSNs. This study proposes a data dissemination method based on a genetic algorithm, which adapts a global optimization search mechanism. In this scheme, the source node finds an efficient data dissemination path by using a genetic algorithm, thereby reducing the energy consumption of the sensor nodes. The proposed scheme can effectively prolong the network lifetime compared with TTDD.
