This study analyzes the integration of smart cities in Primary Education in Italy, highlighting how technological innovations and urban sustainability principles can transform the teaching of sciences and humanities from an early age. The importance of technology as a driver of change is emphasized, focusing on an interdisciplinary approach that merges civic education, sustainable development, and civic participation. The work presents case studies in cities such as Genoa, Cagliari, Sanremo, and Loreto, demonstrating the positive impact of digital skills on education and the development of smart cities. Furthermore, the study underscores how essential civic participation is for the social, cultural, economic, and political development of a country.
