摘要
Blast furnace (BF) sludge was mixed with post-soda or post-carbide lime (2-35%) and molasses (2.5-15%) as a two-component binder and briquetted in a roll press. In some tests, BFdust (< 30%) was also added to mixt. Relationship between drop resistance (DS) and compressive strength (CS) of the briquettes was detd. When values of CS > 240 N and DS > 90% were obtained in the same experiment, briquettes could be qualified as BOF furnace charge. Briquettes, with values exceeded of CS >500 N and DS > 95%, had sufficient strength and could be a component of the charge for the BF.
