摘要
Analog Radio over Fiber (RoF) links represent a technology capable of distributing broadband analog wireless signals through optical fiber to antenna sites. Leveraging analog optical transport simplifies the infrastructure at the antenna, leading to cost and power savings. Further it capitalizes on the advantageous properties of glass fiber, such as low loss and abundant bandwidth. Orthogonal Time Frequency Space modulation (OTFS) is a novel modulation format, in which information symbols are placed in the delay Doppler domain rather than time frequency domain, creating a modulation resilient to a time and frequency selective channel. The feasibility of the optical transport by employing an analog Radio over fiber transmission of microwave signals operating at 6 GHz using a baseband bandwidth of 400 MHz has been investigated in a laboratory environment as well as in simulations.
