摘要
A dual-band circularly polarized (CP) metasurface antenna with ultrawideband radar cross-section reduction (RCSR) is designed. The proposed antenna is a 4 x 4 checkerboard metasurface whose sub-element is a 3 x 3 array that is composed of elliptical cells with broadband polarization conversion performance. A sequential rotary feed system that can provide progressive phases of 0 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees and 270 degrees is employed to achieve dual-band circular polarization radiation. Moreover, the antenna has low RCS performance due to its chessboard-like arrangement structure. Simulation results show that the antenna exhibits -10 dB impedance bandwidth in dual-band of 7.44-10.28 CHz (32.05%) and 11.03-13.18 GHz (17.76%), as well as covering two circularly polarized bands of 7.64-10.28 GHz (29.46%) and 11.89-13.18 GHz (7.29%). The peak gains in the two operation bands are 9.85 dBi and 10.08 dBi, respectively. In addition, the antenna occupies more than 5 dB RCSR in an ultra-wideband frequency range of 6-18.71 GHz (102.87%).
