摘要
This article first aims to describe watershed management with an approach known as the "anthropocentric approach". This approach underscores that in order to effectively manage natural resources and the environment, it is critical to understand the motivations and needs of human beings, their families, and communities. In such a way, it becomes essential to develop management skills to educate, strengthen and develop sustainable alternatives that benefit them socially, economically and environmentally, contributing to their well-being. Subsequently, to show that watersheds are essential to the economy due to their role in the supply of water resources, energy generation, support for biodiversity, recreational activities and the prevention of natural disasters to guarantee each of these long-term benefits.
