Experimental study and analytical model of masonry columns confined with fiber grid-reinforced ECC under cyclic compression load

摘要
The axial compression tests of masonry columns strengthened by fiber textile-reinforced ECC (TRECC) under cyclic load were conducted in this study. The influences of the fiber textile grid layer number and the type of fiber grid on the tensile behaviors of strengthened masonry columns were analyzed. The ductility behaviors were studied. The results show that, with the increased number of fiber textile grid layers, the compression behavior of TRECC-strengthened specimens was improved. The failure mode changed from brittle failure to ductile failure. Specifically, the peak load, corresponding displacement, ductility factor, and energy ductility factor of the column strengthened with three-layer basalt fiber TRECC were increased by 87.5 %, 84.6 %, 24.41 %, and 82.22 %, respectively. In addition, compared with glass fiber TRECC-strengthened specimens, the masonry columns strengthened with basalt fiber TRECC exhibited better compressive strength and deformation capacity. Finally, envelope curve and hysteretic curve analytical models were proposed with accurate prediction results.
