摘要
This study addresses the issue of insufficient public communication in health communication by analyzing the dominant themes related to COVID-19 vaccination in Chinese news media. The research aims to propose strategies for enhancing health communication with the public. Through text analysis and topic modeling, 4 primary themes concerning COVID-19 vaccines and 14 topics in newspaper reports were identified: 1. vaccination progress, 2. vaccination efforts, 3. global vaccine development and production, and 4. prevention and control measures. Based on these findings, the study recommends the following strategies to improve health communication and increase public awareness: 1. enhancing transparency and accuracy in vaccination reporting, 2. expanding the dissemination of vaccination campaigns and volunteer initiatives related to pandemic prevention, and 3. utilizing local media channels to better address regional information needs.
