Canon lawlas a sacred science, has a pastoral dimension that is often not presen- ted in the context of the entire legal dimension of the Church. The article reviews some synodal instances that gave rise to the current carion law and continue to contribute so that all ecclesial law is faithful and in accordance with supreme law of the People of God
