摘要
The impact of electromagnetic wave interactions with different materials on the efficacy of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding are discussed. The study focuses on emerging potential of advanced materials, lightweight, flexible, and cost-effective alternatives, such as carbon-based, metal-based, cement-based, conductive polymer-modified, ceramic-based, and Mxene compounds, which are essential for modern electronics, telecommunications, defense, and aerospace sectors. It explores polymer and continuous carbon composite, delving into their distinct roles in electromagnetic interference shielding. With the help of schematic diagrams, this study provides a thorough categorization of various shielding materials. We also illustrate their unique traits and dimensional classifications in the tabular form, along with their qualities and performance. It also underscores the need for environmental friendly and sustainable EMI shielding solutions to meet the increasing demands of rapidly evolving technologies. This comprehensive analysis paves the way for future research in developing next-generation EMI-SM that combine efficiency, durability, and affordability while safeguarding electronic systems reliability and performance.
