摘要
Research on preparing material via a greener approach paved the way to produce highly biocompatible nanoparticles for antibacterial and antifungal applications. These nanoparticles showed very good activity on some of the microbial elements; hence, it is used in food industries and food quality control divisions. The preparation of CuO, MgO, and CuO/MgO nanocomposite is discussed and its activity on some of the Gram-positive and Gram-negative programs is investigated. In this work, CuO, MgO, and CuO/MgO nanocomposite are prepared by using Madagascar periwinkle extract. The obtained microwave-irradiated powder samples are analyzed to identify their physio-chemical properties. The XRD pattern confirmed the phase purity and the sample of the crystalline nature. The UV-vis absorption spectra depict the band gap of CuO, MgO, and CuO/MgO nanocomposite. The presence of functional groups was confirmed using FTIR analysis. The agglomerated sphere-like morphology of the samples was confirmed by HRSEM analysis. According to the antibacterial investigation, pristine nanoparticles and their composite counterparts effectively combat both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Therefore, the green synthesized CuO, MgO, and CuO/MgO nanocomposite are analyzed for antibacterial applications.
