摘要
The application of nonlinear electric field grading insulation composites can effectively alleviate the concentrated electric field at the key positions of high voltage electrical equipment. However, the composites with excellent nonlinear characteristics on conductivity often need to be doped with a large amount of inorganic fillers, which can easily induce the agglomeration of fillers and poor compatibility with the matrix. It has severely limited the application of the composites in the high voltage electrical equipment. Therefore, silicon carbide whiskers (SiCw) were selected to improve the nonlinear conductivity characteristics of epoxy resin (EP), and the coupling reagent (KH550) was used to modify SiCw and further optimize the insulation performance of the composite by improving the compatibility of the filler with matrix. The results show that, compared with the composite doped with unmodified SiCw, the SiCw fillers modified by 1% KH550 distribute more uniformly in the matrix and exhibit better compatibility with epoxy resin. At the same time, the composites doped with 1% KH550 modified SiCw have achieved remarkable nonlinear conductivity at lower doping content, and the decreased breakdown strength, especially at higher doping content, has been restrained obviously. © 2020, Electrical Technology Press Co.
