摘要
In present work, the mechanical properties and microstructure of laser directed energy deposited (LDED) Ti6Al4V alloy with/without ultrasonic impact treatment (UIT) were investigated after heat treatment. The results show that a combination of UIT and heat treatment is effective in optimizing the mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V alloy. The sample subjected to UIT and heat treatment exhibits higher mechanical strength and elongation in comparison with the sample only subjected to heat treatment. This is mainly related with the grain boundary strengthening resulting from the smaller width of the recrystallized alpha lath in the former.
