Dopamine (DOA) and γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APTES) were used to synergistically modify carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to prepare an A-DOA/CNTs material. The modified CNTs was grafted onto polyurethane containing double bond ends and copolymerized with 2-(perfluorooctyl) ethyl methacrylate (HDFDMA) and other ethylene monomers to prepare CNTs/organic fluorine modified polyurethane-acrylate (PUA) composite emulsions. The structure and properties of the materials were characterized and tested by FTIR; TEM; XPS; water contact angle measurement and tensile test. The results showed that when the mass fraction of A-DOA/CNTs was 0.75% and the mass fraction of HDFDMA was 12%; the 10% weight loss temperature of the film was 329℃; 37℃ higher than that of PUA film. The dynamic storage modulus (Eʹ) of composite film at -55℃ was the maximum; the glass transition temperature (Tg) was 79℃; the water absorption rate was 4.1%; the water contact angle was 110.8°; the tensile strength was 26.3 MPa; and the elongation at break was 352%. Compared with those of the unmodified film; the hydrophobicity; thermal stability and mechanical properties of the prepared film were significantly improved. © 2020; Editorial Office of FINE CHEMICALS.
