摘要
The present work aims to investigate the electroosmotic blood flow in a tapered artery with stenosis and aneurysm under pulsatile conditions. In this paper, the non-Newtonian nature of blood is visualized as a hybrid Casson-Williamson fluid. The Poisson-Boltzmann equation is linearized by using Debye-H & uuml;ckel approximation, and further, it is solved analytically to obtain the expression of the electric potential function. The governing equations are simplified by using suitable non-dimensional variables along with mild stenotic, mild aneurysm, and low Reynolds number approximations. The transformed partial differential equations are non-linear and solved using perturbation techniques with suitable boundary conditions. The effect of physiological parameters on the flow characteristics of blood, such as flow velocity, temperature, flow resistance, and shear stress at the wall are analyzed on the tapered artery. The electroosmotic parameter enhances the fluid velocity and significantly reduces the magnitude of wall shear stress and flow impedance in a tapered artery. The temperature increases at the stenotic and aneurysmal region with the Prandtl and Brinkmann numbers.
