摘要
This paper studies the response of a floating ice sheet over time due to a moving load with the consideration of a porous sea-bed. We consider the following effects: (i) the porous sea-bed effect, and (ii) the stress effect. The dispersion relation is taken into account, and with its help, we proceed to study the effect of various parameters. Furthermore, the phase and group speeds of the wave for the variation of different parameters are demonstrated through several figures, and appropriate conclusions. The asymptotic analysis carried out over long time for the concentrated line load shows that a steady deflection state can be obtained at both subcritical and supercritical load speed regimes. This analysis also predicts a growing response with time near a critical speed. We find that there exists another critical speed with an increasing response identical to the minimum phase speed response. It is found that the stress and the porous sea-bed have significant impacts on wave generation in the floating plate caused by the moving load. The method of solution is primarily based on an appropriate application of Fourier transform. The outcomes are illustrated through various plots. One result is validated successfully against an established result to confirm the efficiency of the present model.
