Software Defined Networks (SDNs) separate the control plane from the forwarding plane. The OpenFlow protocol enables centralized management by facilitating communication between virtual switches. However, testing tools for SDN performance often overlook convergence time of controllers. This study introduces a tool to evaluate Java-based SDN controllers, like ONOS and ODL, measuring convergence speed across different network sizes using a Python-based interface. Results show OpenDaylight outperforms ONOS in convergence time.
