We study a Standard Model extension that provides a bi-component dark matter scenario as well as a mechanism for the generation of left-handed neutrino masses. We extend the Standard Model scalar sector by adding an inert SU(2)L\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$SU(2)_L$$\end{document} complex doublet with hypercharge Y=1/2\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$Y= 1/2$$\end{document} and a real inert SU(2)L\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$SU(2)_L$$\end{document} triplet with hypercharge Y=0\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$Y=0$$\end{document}. These scalars provide suitable dark matter candidates belonging to two different dark sectors that are stabilised by the discrete symmetries Z2xZ2 '\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$Z_2 \times Z_2'$$\end{document}. We consider the contribution of both candidates to the total relic abundance in order to reduce the desert regions in the inert doublet and inert triplet models. In addition, we have added an active real scalar SU(2)L\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$SU(2)_L$$\end{document} triplet with hypercharge Y=1\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$Y=1$$\end{document} in order to generate light neutrino Majorana masses through the type-II seesaw mechanism. We have analysed the dark matter phenomenology for the model and alongside with the neutrino mass generation.
