摘要
During a preliminary survey of the presence of plant-parasitic nematodes in commercial banana plantations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Tylenchorhynchus populations were found in rhizosphere soil and root samples of three banana varieties. An integrative taxonomic approach based on morphometrics, morphological characters and molecular phylogenetic analysis identified the populations as Tylenchorhynchus leviterminalis. The D2/D3 expansion region of 28S rDNA analysis showed that the Timbulharjo village population has an 100% DNA sequence homology with the T. leviterminalis sequence (EU368591.1) of a Vietnamese T. leviterminalis population deposited in GenBank. Out of the six localities sampled, T. leviterminalis populations were found in rhizosphere soil at two localities and in banana roots at five localities. The sequence of the Timbulharjo, Indonesia's population was submitted to GenBank under accession number OR539514. This nematode is considered to pose a low risk, our results, however, provide the basic species data for nematode taxonomy studies.
