摘要
Purpose of ReviewInterstitial cystitis (IC)/Bladder pain syndrome (BPS) is a complicated problem commonly encountered in the fields of urology and pain management. This review article aims to provide readers with a detailed discussion outlining the most recent breakthroughs in the management of IC, specifically, emerging and first-line interventional treatments.Recent FindingsRecent literature demonstrates that nerve blocks and neuromodulation selecting a variety of targets in the peripheral and central nervous system can be used with efficacy in treating IC/BPS.SummaryRecent research has demonstrated that rapidly evolving interventional techniques remain a promising area to effectively treat the challenging disorder of IC/BPS with acknowledgement that further research is needed in this space.
