摘要
This study focuses on fabrication of stainless steel-based bi-metallic structure through wire arc additive manufacturing. This study also deals with simulating tensile behavior of BM structure. Finite element simulation is one of tools that reduces the need for real-time experimentations. The simulated outcomes revealed that BM structure exhibited a tensile strength of 537.98 MPa which was similar to that of experimental outcomes resulting in error % less than 1. The exhibited tensile strength of BM structure was superior to that of wrought alloy as there was a variation in the microstructure which caused complex thermal cycle experienced during fabrication.
