摘要
The work examines the deformation behavior and microstructure evolution in lead brass LS59-1 (Cu-40%Zn-1%Pb, C37000 in ASTM standard) during experimental isothermal multidirectional forging (IMF) in the temperature range of 400-500 degrees C. The results demonstrate that the IMF facilitates the formation of a more uniform and fine-grained structure with an average grain size of 2.2 +/- 0.2 mu m, accompanied by an increase in hardness to 323 +/- 21 HV in the initial state following an accumulated strain of Sigma epsilon = 14.4. Therefore, it can be concluded that the IMF leads to a more effective refinement of the grain microstructure at temperatures of low technological plasticity where beta '-phase occurs.
