摘要
Collaea is a small monophyletic genus of tribe Diocleae (Leguminosae, Papilionoideae), currently with nine accepted species. Collaea speciosa, as currently circumscribed, includes several synonyms reflecting its wide geographical distribution across Andean Peru and Bolivia, and eastern Brazilian mountains as well as a broad morphological variation in flower traits, characterizing it as a taxonomic complex. Based on the analysis of herbarium specimens, observations of the plants in the field, and a complementary principal component analysis of reproductive and foliar characters, we propose taxonomic rearrangements in this complex. We narrow the circumscription for C. speciosa, recognize two new species, C. cardosoana and C. maxima, and propose the new combination C. coccinea. Additionally, we provide morphological descriptions, illustrations, information on geographic distributions, habitats, and preliminary assessment of the conservation status of the species.
