摘要
In this article, an UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) compact monopole antennawith triple band-notched characteristics is presented. The antenna structure consists ofa half-hexagon monopole with rectangular and square resonant spirals structures for theexclusion of frequency bands for WiMAX (3.25{3.85 GHz), WLAN (5.15{5.85 GHz), andFixed/Mobile Satellite Communication (7.55{7.75 GHz). The compact antenna of size2829 mm2achieves simulated ultra-wide bandwidth of 14.7 GHz (2.9 GHz{17.6 GHz)and measured bandwidth of 14.8 GHz (3.21{18.0 GHz). The stable gain characteristic isobtained for the passband and gain is reduced to2:02 dBi (3.57 GHz), 0.4 dBi (5.3 GHz)and2:75 dBi (7.6 GHz) at band notch frequencies.
