摘要：

Capturing the wisdom of hundreds of individuals and departments, the Effective Practices for Physics Programs guide is a handbook for creating significant and sustainable change. That is the type of question posed by many department chairs and faculty members. Some want to see students be more engaged in their research labs and classes, some are seeing the culture change around them and are unsure how to proceed, and some are motivated by the threat of program dissolution.
