摘要
The deterioration of the environment on a worldwide scale and the anticipated depletion of non-renewable fossil fuel reserves has all prompted the search for sustainable and environmentally beneficial energy alternatives. In the present work, the performance and emission characteristics of a single cylinder diesel engine were investigated employing palm biodiesel as fuel, as both blended and neat form. According to the investigation's results, the B25 blend outperformed other blends in terms of performance and emitted fewer emissions than conventional fuel and hence it is suggested as optimum fuel. At maximum load the BSFC and BTHE of the optimum fuel is found to 0.268 kg/kW-hr and 30.96%, while the emission of CO, HC and NOX are found to be 0.09% (by volume), 58 ppm and 998 ppm respectively. © 2024.
