Simulation research on train operation interlocking control in train station based on 3D scene

Interlocking control plays a key role in the dispatching command of railway stations and the orderly and safe operation of trains. To ensure the authenticity and safety of train station interlocking control and train operation drill, the overall framework of train station interlocking control and three-dimensional virtual simulation of train operation was proposed. Starting from the interlocking function of the railway station, the data structure, functional logic, and interlocking control simulation algorithm of station interlocking control were designed, and the logic control and human-computer interaction simulation of railway station interlocking were realized. The hierarchical structure of the 3D model of railway station equipment was designed using the object-oriented hierarchical method. The 3D virtual scene model of train operation in a railway station was built by creating prefabs and modifying their components. Based on the logical model of railway lines, a virtual routing algorithm for train operation and a train motion driving algorithm for interlocking control were proposed. The algorithm was used to continuously calculate the spatial position and posture of each vehicle in the train, achieving functions such as starting, accelerating, and decelerating motion, fixing point parking, and lane changing of railway trains in a 3D scene. On this basis, the virtual simulation system of train operation interlocking control in a train station based on a 3D scene was developed in the environment of the Unity engine. The system supported human-computer interaction simulation of train station interlocking control, and can visually observe the status changes of signal equipment and the dynamic operation of trains from different perspectives in the 3D scene of the train station. Through the given train dispatching schedule in the station, the developed system was used to carry out the 3D simulation of railway station interlocking control and train operation. The simulation examples show that the methods and technical solutions adopted in the paper have good application prospects and practical significance in simulation exercises and training learning of station interlocking. © 2024, Central South University Press.
