Pt/MOF-5 film-coated optical micro-nano fibre hydrogen sensor with humidity and temperature compensation functions

摘要
In this paper, a composite fibre structure based on thin-core fibre (TCF), Fibre Bragg grating (FBG), and micro-nano fibre (MNF) is proposed to achieve simultaneous sensing of humidity, temperature, and hydrogen concentration by coating different functional films. Based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR), a TCF and Au/PVA film are combined to achieve relative humidity (RH) measurement. Pt/MOF-5 is coated on the surface of the MNF by in-situ growth method. Its refractive index (RI) is changed by absorbing hydrogen. In temperature detection, FBG realizes the temperature compensation. Based on the above sensing mechanisms, it is shown that the fibre has a RH sensitivity of 0.38 nm/%RH, a temperature sensitivity of -0.0497 nm/degrees C, and a hydrogen sensitivity of 0.541 nm/%. The Bragg grating has a temperature sensing sensitivity of 0.0106 nm/degrees C, which accurately compensates for temperature crosstalk. This composite structure provides a good application prospect for accurate measurement of hydrogen concentration.
