摘要
Earthquake liquefaction of gravelly soils is a new problem encountered in the establishment of earthquake disaster prevention and control technology system of civil engineering in China. The liquefaction potential index of gravelly soils, as the final quantity of gravelly soils characterizing liquefaction discrimination and the actual control parameter of anti-liquefaction measure, is the bottleneck of the development and breakthrough of current system. With the Chinese mode inherited and based on the measured data of 2008 Wenchuan earthquake in China, a new method for evaluating the liquefaction potential index of gravelly soils is proposed with the blow count ratio residual of Chinese dynamic penetration test taken as the basic variable. The functional relationship between theoretically calculated liquefaction potential index and macroscopically investigated liquefaction potential index of gravelly soils was established based on the unique data of China, and the feasibility of the corresponding relationship between the existing liquefaction potential index and liquefaction grade in the current Chinese code was analyzed. The equivalence relationship between the liquefaction potential index and liquefaction grade of gravelly soils was provided, and the rationality of the new method was demonstrated by the measured data. The proposed method maintains the advantages of the Chinese mode and can provide direct technical support for practical applications and revision on Chinese code. theoretical liquefaction potential index; macroscopically investigated liquefaction potential index © 2024 Chinese Society of Civil Engineering.
