摘要
The paper aims to discuss the current status and prospects of military applications of brain computer interface technology, as well as the challenges it will face in future technological development. The paper first discusses the conceptual connotation, current technological implementation approaches, and current development status of brain computer interfaces in the military field from two aspects: control by brain and control of brain; Secondly, the current application status and potential application prospects of brain computer interface in the military field were analyzed and discussed from four aspects: brain computer collaborative weapon equipment control, enhancement of fighter capabilities supported by brain computer interface technology, detection and regulation of fighter cognitive state, and repair of fighter nervous system damage. In particular, the enormous application value of brain computer interface in improving the intelligence level of weapon equipment and maintaining and enhancing fighter combat capabilities was demonstrated; Finally, the evolution of brain computer interface technology, especially the challenges it will face in military applications, was discussed and analyzed from three aspects: the decisive role of brain cognitive mechanism research in the development of brain computer interfaces, the construction of ethical and legal systems for research applications, and information security and privacy. © 2024 South China University of Technology.
