<正>Distinguished guests, dear colleagues,Today, the 2018 Science and You International Conference is being held in Beijing. Scholars from around the world will exchange ideas under the theme of ‘Knowing, Sharing and Caring: New Insights for a Diverse World'. This in itself reflects our shared desire to promote communication and interaction among different scientific cultures. Now, I would like to offer some of my observations on the features of scientific culture in China today.
