An outline of the Copenhagen airport shopping center design strategy is given. At the end of the 1970s, an expansion plan was adopted for the airport allowing expansion of facilities to accommodate up to 22 million passengers a year. The plan envisages Copenhagen Airport maintaining its position as the largest in Scandinavia, and its role in relation to the other European airports. A considerable amount of construction work has now been completed.
