Sedimentation equilibrium in concentrated charge-stabilized colloidal suspensions

摘要：
Preliminary results are reported for the density and charge density profiles of a charged colloidal suspension in sedimentation equilibrium. Calculations are based on a simple free energy functional, which includes excluded volume and Coulomb contributions. The suspension is shown to behave like a condenser.
