The Schimidt procedure is used to orthogonalize the basis of element-free Galerkin method (EFGM) interpolants to avoid computing the inverse of matrix. At the same time, the computational costs are reduced and the accuracy of MLS interpolants are improved. The choice of weight functions and radius of influence circle is also ameliorated. The design method and management of the object about the EFGM are studied by abstracting the data of EFGM as independent data classes. The calculation results indicate that the theory and programs are accurate and effective.
