A solution is suggested for the didactic and methodical procedure of teachers concerned with instruction in hv circuit breakers within the training course of switchgear installations for electricians. The solution provides a historical-genetic consideration in connection with an instruction appropriate for the subject to be taught, leading the apprentice to important technical representatives by continuously setting up and solving problems (contradictions to practical requirements) as far as relations between ends and means and expense and benefit are concerned. The creative character of such a method of cognition secures a high effectiveness of education and training.
