Estimation of activities of nonmetal in Fe-Ni, Fe-Co, Ni-Co melts by equivalent concentrations method

摘要
The methods calculating metalloids activity (nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon) in metallic melts have been analyzed and systematized. The applicability of the advanced method of equimolar concentrations for binary melts of iron, cobalt and nickel of different composition has been confirmed. The basic equations are presented along with the factors of equivalence, used in calculations. In the case of nitrogen and carbon, effect of metalloids themselves upon their activity coefficients was taken into account. The concentration dependences of the last obey the Gibbs-Duhem equation within the whole concentration range.
